Horry County, SC : One person injured in hit-and-run collision with alleged driver at Highway 501 and Carolina Forest Boulevard on Wednesday, January 27, 2016
A two-vehicle crash in Horry County has sent one person to the hospital, and the driver who fled the scene was located and arrested shortly after the accident.
The accident happened on Highway 501 and Carolina Forest Boulevard at about 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, and involving a pickup truck and a Mustang.
South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers say the driver of the pickup truck suffered serious injuries, and the driver of the Mustang ran from the scene.
The driver of the Mustang, 24-year-old Robert Giovanni Todd, was located shortly after the accident and arrested by SCHP. He has been charged with hit and run, disorderly conduct, and reckless driving. He was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center Wednesday morning and released on bond Wednesday afternoon.
