Driver seriously injured in Dinwiddie tractor trailer crash on June, Friday 30th 2017

The driver of a tractor-trailer was injured in a crash on Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County on Friday night, Virginia State Police said.

The driver was flown to VCU Medical Center with injuries that were serious but not life-threatening, police said.


The accident happened around 8:55 p.m. at the 40.2 mile marker, police said. The crash was located just south of Route 40, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The crash temporarily closed the interstate in both directions, VDOT said.
