LSP says the crash happened Monday night around 9 p.m. as Roming was walking northbound along Hwy. 75. At the same time, Darrell Spencer, 56, also of Plaquemine, was driving northbound on Hwy. 75 in a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup. On Wednesday, Roming's family was searching along Hwy. 75 and located his body in a ditch alongside the highway. The Iberville Parish Coroner's Office arrived on scene and pronounced Roming dead. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in this incident.
