Brainerd, MN : A serious crash on May, Thursday, 11th 2017

Emergency crews responded to a serious crash Thursday afternoon near Wise Road and Riverside Drive north of Brainerd.

The crash occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. and involved two vehicles: a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which remained on the roadway but was on its side, and a Chrysler Sebring convertible, which was in the ditch. Responders were required to extricate the passenger in the convertible.

The crash occurred about one-quarter mile west of the intersection with Crow Wing County Highway 3, in front of The Church on Wise Road. The number of people involved in the crash was unavailable at 1 p.m. Thursday.

According to the police scanner, air care was called for and was requested to meet the ambulance at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center.

Responding were the Brainerd Police Department, the Crow Wing Sheriff's Office, the Brainerd Fire Department and North Memorial Ambulance.
