Citrus Park, FL : Tampa man in critical condition after crash on Veterans Expressway Saturday evening on September 20, 2014

A Tampa man remained in critical condition Saturday evening after his car spun out of control and overturned on the Veterans Expressway in the pre-dawn hours Saturday, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Chase Kattell, 21, was driving northbound at a high rate of speed shortly before 3 a.m. when he veered into the east grass shoulder of the road, officials said. Kattell overcorrected, causing the car to spin counter-clockwise and collide with a mound of dirt. The 2001 Toyota overturned before coming to a stop on the shoulder of the road.
