Sumter County Coroner; ‘s Office has identified the pedestrian who was killed following a late-night crash in Sumter County.
The coroner’s office has identified the victim as Candace Dicks, 31, who died at Prisma Health Richland from injuries she sustained in the collision
The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) said the collision occurred about two miles west of Mayesville on US-401 near Farmingdale Road. A 2018 GMC pickup truck traveling south on the highway hit Dicks, who was in the roadway.
The driver was not injured. SCHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
