Searcy County, AR : 67-year-old James R. Russell dead and two injured in 2-car crash on Highway 27 at Red Oak Lane on Monday night, March 9, 2015

A Mountain Home man died after a crash in Searcy County.

James R. Russell, 67, was killed in the crash on Arkansas Highway 27 at Red Oak Lane, according to Arkansas State Police. The crash happened just after 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Police state Russell attempted to negotiate a right turn curve when he crossed the center line and hit another vehicle.

Two people in the other vehicle, Jeffery and Rebecca Brasel of Everton, were injured in the crash and taken to a Harrison hospital in unknown condition.

Road conditions were wet and it was raining at the time of the crash, according to ASP.
