One person was rushed to the hospital in Springfield Saturday night after a single car crash in the city's Boston Road neighborhood, police said.
A car skidded and struck an electrical pole near the intersection of Nantasket Street and Parker Street around 5:20 p.m., said Ryan Walsh, spokesperson for the Springfield Police Department.
The operator was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash, Walsh said. They were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities have not yet stated what caused the crash.
No further information has been released regarding the incident.
