Tallahassee, FL : A one-car accident in Putnam County on Sunday, December, 17th 2017

A Melrose man died Sunday morning in a one-car accident in Putnam County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Bruce Wolf, 55, of Melrose, was driving a 2013 Ford Escape on State Road 100 near Paran Church Road in Putnam County when the Escape veered across the eastbound lane and traveled onto the shoulder befored hitting a tree.

Wolf was pronounced dead at the scene by Putnam County Fire Rescue.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
