Ontario, CA : A two-vehicle crash in Pomona on Wednesday, November, 22nd 2017
One person was killed Thanksgiving evening in a two-vehicle crash in Pomona, police said.
Just after 6:30 p.m., someone flagged down a Pomona police officer on patrol near the 2600 block of West Valley Boulevard, according to a press release. The person told the officer there had been a bad crash involving two vehicles where at least one of the cars had rolled over, officials said.
Officers and Los Angeles County Fire personnel worked to help those in the vehicles, however one passenger in one of the cars died at the scene. That person’s identity was not released as of 10 p.m. Thursday.
The Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the crash. They ask anyone with information about this collision to call the Pomona Police Department’s Traffic Services Bureau at 909-620-2081.
The roadway is expected to be closed for some time to allow for the investigation.
