A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a rear-end crash on Highway 23 in Iowa County Wednesday afternoon, sheriff’s deputies said.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Department responded to reports of a car versus motorcycle crash on Highway 23 near Park Ridge Road in the town of Dodgeville around 3:15 p.m., according to a release.
A 1993 Buick Rivera, driven by Julica Rose Kelly, 34, of La Crosse, was driving north on Highway 23. When she slowed down to turn, a 2012 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, being driven by Blaine K. Hall, 45 of Dodgeville, rear-ended her vehicle, investigators said.
Hall was thrown from his motorcycle, according to the release. He suffered serious injuries and was taken to UW Hospital by Med Flight. Hall was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Kelly was treated at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville, and was released, officials said.
