Smithfield, UT : FedEx driver rolls truck into creek in Smithfield on Thursday, January 8, 2015

A Logan man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Thursday after he rolled a FedEx delivery truck into a creek in Smithfield.
According to Smithfield Police Lt. Travis Allen, 28-year-old Josiah Reese was making deliveries in the area of 300 West and Center Street. Just after 11 a.m., while driving north on 300 West, he turned east onto the curved section of Center Street.
Reese lost control of the truck as he executed the turn and rolled the vehicle into the creek to the left of the roadway, Allen said.
The truck lay on its side in about two and a half feet of water, but the packages remained inside the truck.
As officers were investigating, Allen said they could smell alcohol on Reese and administered a field sobriety test. He was arrested and taken to jail when he reportedly failed the test.
Allen said the investigation is ongoing and additional citations are pending.
