Monessen, PA : Two people were taken to the hospital a head-on collision on Monday, May 29, 2017

Two people were taken to the hospital Monday after a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a sports-utility vehicle in Murrysville, police said.

The crash happened at about 5:25 p.m. on Sardis Road. The cause is unknown.

A man and a woman riding on the motorcycle suffered injuries, with the woman injuring her leg and the man sustaining a head injury, according to Westmoreland County 911.

The severity of the injuries is unknown. Both victims were conscious when first responders arrived, according to Murrysville police.

The SUV driver was not injured.
