Clearwater, FL : 28-year-old man dead after being hit by truck, bus on U.S. 19 on Tuesday, June 7, 2016

A 28-year-old Clearwater man died overnight after he was hit twice in separate collisions on U.S. 19, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Joshua Michael Schwartz was first hit by a truck turning into a mobile home park north of Royal Boulevard, troopers said. The driver, Dennis Helgeson, 56, of Clearwater, reported the crash but Schwartz walked away, according to the highway patrol.

Not long after, about 10:30 p.m., he was hit again when he walked in front of a bus driven northbound on U.S. 19 by Michael Slawski, 60, of Clearwater, troopers said.

Schwartz died at Mease Dunedin Hospital.
