Orlando, FL : Bicyclist struck, killed in Orange County early Wednesday, June 29, 2016

A bicyclist was struck by a car and killed early Wednesday in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The fatal crash happened just after midnight on Boggy Creek Road, south of Orlando International Airport.

According to the FHP, the car was northbound on Boggy Creek Road when the driver struck the man. The car then went off the road and crashed, troopers said.

The cyclist, described only as a man from Puerto Rico, died in the crash, troopers said.

The driver of the car was not injured, the FHP said.

The driver told troopers that he didn't see the bicyclist.

The FHP said it's not believed that speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.
