Charlotte ,NC : Two people injured after head-on crash in northeast Charlotte on Thursday ,June 11th 2015

At least two people were taken to the hospital after a vehicle accident in northeast Charlotte Thursday.

The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of West Mallard Creek Church Road and Senator Royal Place.

Officials have not released much information about the wreck, but WBTV's Sky 3 was over the scene where two cars could be seen, both with heavy front-end damage.

Medic crews could be seen assisting two patients near one of the vehicles. Both patients were taken to ambulances on stretchers. Their names have not been released, but Medic said they are expected to be okay.

Investigators have not said what may have led to the accident or if any charges are being filed.
