ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA : Student killed former student injured in head-on on Monday, 16th October 2023

A senior at West Feliciana High School died on Monday, Oct. 16 after the Ford Mustang he was driving hit a gravel truck on Bains Road.

Nicholas David, 17, of St. Francisville was killed in the head-on collision around 2:45 p.m. Monday. According to the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office, David’s vehicle crossed the center line on Bains Road before hitting the truck.

WFPSO said Brayden McEachern, 18, of St. Francisville was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash and was airlifted to a hospital in Baton Rouge. The extent of his injuries is not known. McEachern graduated from West Feliciana High School last year, according to West Feliciana Schools Superintendent Hollis Milton.

The gravel truck that was hit belonged to the West Feliciana Parish Government, said West Feliciana Sheriff Brian Spillman. The person who was inside the truck was not injured.
