Fair Oaks, CA : Driver rear-ends car while fleeing another crash on Sunday evening August 10th 2014

A woman trying to speed away from a crash Sunday evening ended up causing an even bigger wreck in Sacramento County, the California Highway Patrol said. A driver behind the wheel of a Toyota 4Runner is accused of causing the collision just after 7:20 p.m. at Madison Avenue near Buena Ventura Way. The vehicle was badly damaged in the rollover crash. Witnesses told police the woman was fleeing the scene of another wreck when she rear-ended a sedan while going about 90 mph, the CHP said. The driver of the SUV suffered major injuries. She is under investigation, accused of drunken driving. The sedan driver was hurt as well, but his or her injuries are considered minor.
