Williamson County, TN : 44-year-old Franklin man killed in crash on Old State Highway 96 near Leipers Fork on Tuesday, April 19, 2016

A 44-year-old Franklin man was killed in an overnight crash on Old State Highway 96 near Leipers Fork in Williamson County, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 12:46 a.m. Tuesday near Noble King Road. The driver, 40-year-old Tammy Sabedra of Bon Aqua, was injured, a THP report said.

John Harris was a passenger in Sabedra's Suzuki 4-door sedan. Sabedra was driving east on Old State Highway 96 when she drove off the road, overcorrected and crashed into a tree on the passenger side.

THP is investigating whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash. Neither of the vehicle's occupants were using a seat belt, according to the report.

Charges are pending.
