Traverse City, MI : Kingsley man killed in crash on a rural Grand Traverse County road on Thursday, March 16, 2017

Authorities have not yet identified the Kingsley man killed in a crash on a rural Grand Traverse County road.

The man, 30, was driving a Chrysler LHS north on Garfield Road when he crossed the road's centerline and collided with a Traverse City woman driving a Ford Explorer, said Grand Traverse County sheriff's Capt. Chris Clark. The crash occurred in Paradise Township near Voice Road.

The man died at the scene, Clark said. The 6-year-old girl seated in the back seat of his car was hospitalized at Munson Medical Center. The 17-year-old woman driving the Explorer also was hospitalized. Both are expected to survive.

Deputies still are investigating the scene.
