Police investigate fatal Batavia crash near Ohio

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Batavia.Police say that Elizabeth Jasper, 38, died Saturday morning from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle accident on U.S. 50.

The accident happened around 9 a.m. near Pattison Park in Stonelick Township.Jasper was driving a Honda Pilot eastbound on U.S. 50 when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway.

The vehicle struck a ditch and vaulted off a driveway into a tree.The driver succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene.
