Dekalb County ,IN : 42 - Years old Travis L. Hypes injured and airlifted to hospital after ATV crash at DeKalb County Road 27 on Friday ,March 20th 2015

Indiana Department of Natural Resources conservation officers are investigating an ATV crash that resulted in the victim being airlifted to Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Two vehicle drivers reported the crash about 10:45 p.m. Friday after seeing a man lying in the road near a Honda ATV in the 2800 block of DeKalb County Road 27, a DNR news release said.

The crash victim was identified as Travis L. Hypes, 42, of Waterloo, who was taken by Samaritan air ambulance to Parkview Regional Hospital. His condition was unavailable.

Conservation officers were assisted on-scene by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department, Indiana State Police, DeKalb County EMS and Grant Township Fire Department.
