CATAWBA COUNTY, NC : One person was killed in a wreck in Catawba County on Wednesday, 3rd January 2018

At least one person was killed in a wreck in Catawba County Wednesday morning.

According to North Carolina Highway Patrol, the deadly crash happened in the 5700 block of Sherrills Ford Road in Catawba. Troopers received a call for the crash just after 6 a.m.

It is unclear whether the wreck has shut down the road.

The victim's name has not been released.
