Los Angeles, CA : Two people killed by suspected drunken driver when car goes out of control in South Los Angeles on Saturday, Nov 21, 2015

Authorities say the driver of a minivan and a pedestrian were killed when they were struck by an out-of-control car in South Los Angeles.

Police Detective Grace Brady says the driver of a Buick LeSabre lost control of his car on Normandie Avenue and slammed into a Honda Odyssey late Saturday.

The Buick then hit several parked motorcycles and a 48-year-old man on a sidewalk. The man died at the scene.

KABC-TV reports the driver of the Odyssey was killed. Her husband and three kids — all under the age of 10 — were hospitalized in stable condition.

The driver of the Buick, a 36-year-old man, was hospitalized with unknown injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
