An 81-year-old man died Friday in an all-terrain vehicle crash near New London.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said David A. Ely of New London was pronounced dead by Ralls County Coroner Denise Goodwin at the scene of the crash on private property off Route A about three miles west of New London.

Police said Ely was driving a 2007 Honda Rancher at 5:50 p.m., when it rolled down an embankment, and he was thrown from the vehicle.

Assisting agencies were the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Ralls County Ambulance and Ralls County Fire Department.
