Newport News, VA : Man ejected from SUV following crash in Suffolk on Wednesday, January 25, 2017

A driver was ejected from his SUV Wednesday when two cars collided in the 1600 block of Whaleyville Boulevard in Suffolk, a city official said.

Crews received the call about 4 p.m. and said a Chevrolet pickup and Chevrolet SUV had crashed, and the SUV rolled several times off the road before it came to a stop, officials said.

He was airlifted to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, and no one else was injured, officials said.

Whaleyville Road was temporarily closed in both directions while crews cleared the road, officials said.
