Las Vegas , NV : Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run Crash near Sahara Avenue a west of Mojave Road on Sunday ,January 18th 2015

A pedestrian was killed early this morning in a hit-and-run on Sahara Avenue, west of Mojave Road, Metro Police said.

A pickup headed east on Sahara about 3:25 a.m. hit a 50-year-old man in the center lane and did not stop, police said. The man, who was not in a crosswalk, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The pickup was described by witnesses as a small, late 80s or 90s, two-door model with white paint. It had a damaged left headlight, police said.

This was the fourth traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
