Bend, OR : Bend couple and Redmond man died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 20 near Millican on Wednesday afternoon, March 30, 2016

Authorities say three people have died in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 20 about 25 miles southeast of Bend.

The Bend Bulletin reports that Oregon State Police say Jim Reynolds and Fayme Reynolds, both from Bend, and Wesley Earp, of Redmond, died Wednesday in the crash near Millican.

Police say Earp had been driving a van headed west when he drifted off the highway and onto the north shoulder. His van then returned onto the highway and crossed the center line, striking an eastbound Ford Explorer carrying the Reynolds.

The highway was closed for an hour before one lane reopened. All lanes were open about three and a half hours after the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
