Nowata county, OK : Kansas woman killed in two-vehicle crash on U.S. 169 near Rogers-Nowata county line on Wednesday, 2nd January 2019

A Coffeyville, Kansas, woman was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. 169 near the Rogers-Nowata county line Wednesday afternoon. Karon Allison, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene by Oologah-Talala EMS shortly after the crash about 1:30 p.m. Allison reportedly was driving north in a 2011 Ford Expedition when it crossed the center line and hit a southbound Kenworth tractor-trailer. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said in a news release that the crash was not weather-related.

The highway was closed in both directions for about five hours, the OHP said.
