COMMERCE CITY, CO : Commerce City first responders struck by suspected impaired driver while investigating DUI crash on Thursday, 7th December 2023

Two Commerce City police officers and two Adams County firefighters were struck by a suspected impaired driver while investigating a separate DUI crash Thursday evening.

Both Commerce City police officers that were hit are expected to be OK, according to the Commerce City Police Department. One South Adams County firefighter got a minor injury in the crash. Another firefighter was seriously injured, according to Colorado State Patrol (CSP).
