Mecklenburg, County NC : One person was killed in motorcycle accident early Saturday morning September 27th 2014.

One person was killed in motorcycle accident early Saturday morning. Police say Jessie Garza was riding a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle heading south on N. Tryon street when a Dodge Caravan traveling north crossed the double yellow lines and hit the motorcycle head-on. Then a Toyota RAV 4 traveling behind the motorcycle swerved into the northbound lane avoid the collision and that caused the motorcycle strike the Rav 4 on the right rear tire. Jessie Garza was pronounced dead on the scene due injuries sustained during the collision. The other drivers involved in the crash were not injured. The driver of the caravan, Jorge Jimenez-Feliz was arrested and charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle. Mr. Jimenez is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff.
