A driver died after striking a tree in Miami County Sunday afternoon.

The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Fred Siebert of Bethel Twp., according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

It happened around 1:00 p.m. on Cobaugh Road near South Mann Road in Tipp City.

Officials believe the man veered off the road, smashing his car into a tree.

The cause is under investigation.
