Colorado Springs, Colorado
Three people were hospitalized Thursday after a car crashed into a parking garage in downtown Colorado Springs.
A blue Toyota Pruis first hit a Ford truck and then a pedestrian before driving into the garage's atrium area, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department. The Prius pushed the pedestrian through the atrium wall.
The incident was reported at about 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of South Nevada and Colorado avenues, police said.
The driver and passenger in the Prius and the pedestrian were treated on scene and taken to an area hospital, said Capt. Steve Wilch, a spokesman for the Colorado Springs Fire Department. The people in the Prius were in stable condition, but the pedestrian was seriously hurt, Wilch said.
No further details were available Thursday.
