Phoenix, AZ : Driver suffers seizure, crashes into Republic Media building on Thursday, February 19, 2015
A vehicle crashed into the Republic Media building in downtown Phoenix after authorities say the driver apparently suffered a diabetic seizure.
Paramedics took the 45-year-old to Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center for treatment after Thursday afternoon's crash. The man's name wasn't immediately released.
Phoenix police say the gold Lexus crashed into a section of the Republic Media building, which houses The Arizona Republic, 12 News and AZ Central.
Witnesses say the car drove onto the sidewalk where it hit a stairway railing and then collided with a window, shattering two panels of floor-to-ceiling glass.
There were no reported injuries inside the building.
