Authorities say a 48-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle crash east of Cheyenne.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Douglas M. Scholl, of Cheyenne, was headed east on U.S. Highway 30 on Sunday morning when another driver ran a stop sign and broadsided his pickup. Scholl died at the scene, and the 28-year-old man driving the other vehicle was hospitalized.
Investigators say charges are pending against the man who hit Scholl's truck.
The crash marked the 143rd highway fatality in Wyoming this year. By this time last year, 148 people were killed in highway crashes.
