Dixon, CA : Cars pile up in 3-car crash on Interstate 80 in Dixon Tuesday morning, November 11, 2014
Two people were sent to the hospital and a third was complaining of chest pain following a car crash along Interstate 80 in Dixon Tuesday morning.
The crash was reported just after 3 a.m. between Midway Road and Dixon Avenue on the eastbound side of the freeway.
The California Highway Patrol said three cars were involved in the crash that left one vehicle on its roof and another pinned on the center divide.
Rajinder Brar said he was in the fast lane with his cruise control set at 72 mph when he noticed the lights ahead.
"I thought they were moving. When I got closer I said what's up and boom!" said Brar.
Two people were taken to the hospital. The driver of the overturned car was alert and talking to paramedics before he was transported by ambulance for evaluation at the hospital.
The freeway was clear by 4:45 a.m., however drivers should be aware of debris and papers that were scattered about the scene.
