HIGHLAND, PA : Two killed in crash on Route 10 in Highland on Wednesday, September 6, 2017

Two people died in a three-vehicle crash on Route 10 near Cochranville Wednesday night, officials said.

The accident occurred at 5:41 p.m. on Limestone Road (Route 10) at East Friendship Church Road.

According to a police report, Kelly Coy, 26, of Cochranville was driving on Friendship Road with a passenger, Matthew Butler, 28, of Atglen.

They crossed Limestone Road and were hit simultaneously by two cars, one coming from the south and one from the north.

Both Coy and Butler were killed in the crash.

Monica Cooke, 41, of Parkesburg, who was traveling northbound, was taken to Brandywine Hospital with moderate injuries.

Mark Groseclose, 26, of Oxford, who was traveling southbound, was not taken for further medical treatment. According to the police report, he suffered minor injuries.

Police reported that Coy and Butler were not wearing seat belts. Groseclose and Cooke were wearing seat belts.

Assisting the state police at the scene were the Cochranville Fire Company, the Keystone Valley EMS and the Westwood EMS.
