RACINE COUNTY, WI : One person was killed in a fiery construction zone crash on Friday, 20th April 2018

One person was killed in a fiery construction zone crash that sent smoke across Interstate 94 in Racine County on Friday morning, prompting authorities to close the roadway and divert traffic.

Racine County Sheriff Christopher Schmaling said a witness reported that a tire came off the vehicle before it slammed into the rear of a CAT excavator that was parked in the construction zone between state Highway 20 and County Trunk K.
