Plover, WI : 49-year-old Stevens Point man dead after a two-car crash in Plover on Monday afternoon, Nov 2, 2015

A 49-year-old Stevens Point man is dead after a two-car crash in Plover Monday afternoon, according to the Plover Police Department.

The victim has been identified as James Waisbrot.

Officials say the crash happened around 3:10 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 54 and Grant Avenue.

Police say it appears Waisbrot entered into oncoming traffic and was hit by another car driven by a 58-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman.

Both drivers were taken to the hospital, where Waisbrot was later pronounced dead.

Neither cars had additional passengers.

The crash is still under investigation.
