Columbia, SC : Duncan man killed in two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 just east of Greer on Friday, 14th September 2018

A Duncan man was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 just east of Greer.

Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger identified the deceased as Broderick Lendarius McCord, 35, of Trillium Street.

The crash occurred when McCord, who was driving a 2013 Honda north on Highway 101, crossed the center line at about 7 a.m. and struck a vehicle traveling southbound head-on, according to S.C. Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Hovis.

McCord was pronounced dead at the scene. Hovis said the other driver, who was in a 2013 Chevrolet, was taken to Spartanburg Medical Center for treatment.
