VAN DYNE, WI : 6-year-old severely injured after crash in Fond du Lac County on Thursday, 11th April 2024

A six-year-old girl was taken to a hospital with severe injuries after being struck by a pickup truck on Thursday evening.

At 5 p.m. Thursday, authorities responded to Townline Road in unincorporated Van Dyne for a crash where a pickup truck struck a pedestrian. A preliminary investigation shows that the pickup truck, being driven by a 20-year-old man from Van Dyne was traveling south when it struck a six-year-old girl.

The six-year-old was medically transported to a hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is investigating and the investigation is still ongoing. This article will be updated as more information is made available.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, Fond du Lac County Communications Center, North Fond du Lac Fire Department, North Fond du Lac EMS, Eldorado First Responders, Eldorado Fire Department, and ThedaStar all assisted in the crash response and investigation.
