Bethel Township, OH : Two people injured after a rollover crash near Tipp City in Miami County on Tuesday, December 15, 2015

Miami County sheriff’s deputy Richard Manns says driver Paul Walker, 70, of St. Paris was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Impala at an “unsafe speed” when going over a hill in the 4700 block of south Ohio 201. The car lost control and went off the left side of the road after the hill.
Passenger was Walker’s granddaughter, Jennifer Gleason, 20, of St. Paris. Both are in stable condition at Miami Valley Hospital.
Walker will be cited for failure to control and a speed violation. The speed limit was 55 mph, and Walker was traveling over 70 mph, Manns said.
“They’re very lucky, it could have been a completely different outcome if they hadn’t been wearing safety belts,” Manns said.
Bethel Twp. and New Carlisle fire and EMS also responded.
