Hogback, NM : Two people are critically injured in a two-car crash on Highway 64 on Thursday September 18th 2014

New Mexico State Police and local emergency personnel were dispatched shortly before noon on Thursday to a two-car crash on U.S. Highway 64 that left one man critically injured. Police were dispatched at 11:55 a.m. to the crash, which occurred at mile marker 28 on U.S. Highway 64, according to Lt. Emmanuel Gutierrez of New Mexico State Police. Gutierrez said one vehicle rolled over after being struck from behind by a second vehicle. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to San Juan Regional Medical Center for treatment. A 74-year-old man was in critical condition, as of Thursday evening. The other man, 72, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Gutierrez said the crash remains under investigation.
