PADUCAH, KY : Man taken to hospital after two-vehicle collision in McCracken County on Saturday, 29th June 2024

A Paducah man was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle injury collision in McCracken County, Kentucky.

Around 3:19 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle collision rollover with injuries near the intersection of US Hwy 68 East and Exit 16 Interstate 24 Eastbound ramp.

According to the sheriff’s office, the on-scene investigation revealed that 53-year-old Rande Sussenbach of Illinois was driving a 2002 Ford Pickup. The investigation also revealed that 73-year-old John Heflin of Paducah was driving a 2017 Chevrolet Trax.

Both vehicles were driving eastbound on US Hwy 68 when one of the vehicles attempted to overtake the other, causing them to strike each other. The resulting collision caused Heflin’s vehicle to roll over onto its side. Heflin was entrapped in the vehicle and was removed by Reidland/Farley Fire.
