Paducah, KY : A 23-year-old woman was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville on Saturday, June 3, 2017

A 23-year-old woman was flown to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, for treatment of critical injuries following a single-vehicle crash Saturday in Calloway County.

Sheriff Sam Steger said Eva Watkins of Cadiz crashed at 9:30 a.m. on Ky. 94 East, near the intersection of Flood Road, east of Murray. She was traveling west when her vehicle left the south side, overturned and snapped a utility pole, the sheriff said.

Steger said Watkins was the only occupant in the vehicle.

Her vehicle was leaning against the utility pole on the driver's side, and she was extricated by mechanical means, he said.

West Kentucky Rural Electric and Murray Water and Gas responded.

An investigation is ongoing.
