Boulder,CO : Boulder police seek witnesses to bicycle crash to determine whether truck played a role on May, Tuesday 15th 2018
Boulder police are searching for witnesses to a bicycle crash Tuesday evening as they seek to determine whether a truck played a role in the incident that left the cyclist with serious injuries.
Police said a 27-year-old woman was cycling eastbound on Table Mesa Drive at 7 p.m. Tuesday near Furman Way when she crashed. Five cyclists stopped to help the woman, who was taken to Boulder Community Health's Foothills Hospital with serious bodily injuries.
A 2013 white GMC Sierra pickup truck also was making a lefthand turn onto Furman Way from Table Mesa, and police are trying to determine if that played a role in the crash.
The truck driver stayed on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Police are asking the five cyclists who stopped at the scene and any other possible witnesses to call Officer D.J. Smith at 720-438-5408.
