Charlotte, NC : Impaired woman drives wrong way, crashes on i-77 on Wednesday morning September 23 2015

A woman is facing DWI charges accused of driving the wrong way on Arrowood Road in south Charlotte overnight.Police said that just before 2:30 a.m. a witness saw the woman in a Ford SUV heading the wrong way, before she turned around and got on the ramp to Interstate 77.
Officers said once on the ramp, the driver whose name has not been released crashed into a steel beam holding up a road sign.
CMPD told Channel 9 the woman was impaired and not seriously hurt.
