Motorcycle operator dies in Dartmouth crash in New Bedford Massachusetts

A 25-year-old Dartmouth man died after a road accident Sunday.Dartmouth Police identified the deceased as Peter Brehaut in a press release Monday evening.At about 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 15, Dartmouth Police and other emergency personnel responded to the 100 block of Bakerville Road to investigate a motorcycle and motor vehicle crash with injuries.The driver of the motorcycle, now identified as Brehaut, was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford where he was pronounced dead at short time later, the release stated.His passenger, a 24-year-old Westport woman, was transported by MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital to receive treatment for life threatening injuries. At the time of the crash, both Brehaut and his passenger were wearing helmets, police said.The driver of the motor vehicle, a 54-year-old woman from Fairhaven, sustained minor injuries, according to the release.
