Duxbury, VT : Man in car crash was DUI on Route 100 Saturday, March 12, 2016

Vermont State Police say a Duxbury man was drunk and caused a two-car crash on Route 100 Saturday.

Police say Richard Touchette, 29, was driving north when his vehicle crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by Quincy Alves, 17, of Waterbury Center. Police say no one was injured in the crash.

After an investigation, police say Touchette was driving under the influence, as a preliminary breath test showed he had a blood alcohol content of 0.361 percent, well over the legal limit of 0.08 percent.

He is scheduled to appear in Washington County criminal court March 31 to answer the charge.
