Marianna, AR : 25-year-old Cody Robert Beard killed, passenger injured in single-vehicle crash on Highway 79 near Marianna in Lee County on Friday, January 30, 2015

Arkansas State Police say a Moro man was killed and another man was injured in a single-vehicle crash near Marianna in Lee County.

Troopers report that 25-year-old Cody Robert Beard died in the accident Friday on Highway 79 just west of Marianna in eastern Arkansas.

An accident report says Beard was eastbound when the car he was driving went off the roadway and struck a tree. The report says a passenger in the car was taken to a Little Rock hospital in undisclosed condition.
